Privacy Policy

Jiksak Bioengineering Inc. (hereinafter referred to as “the Company”) handles personal information and other related information (hereinafter referred to as “user information”) obtained through the use of its website, transactions, and applications as follows.

Article 1 (General Provisions)

  1. In order to realize the protection of user information, the Company shall comply with the Personal Information Protection Law and other related laws and regulations, and shall strive to appropriately handle and protect user information, including personal information.
  2. This privacy policy (hereinafter referred to as the “Policy”) applies to the use of the Company ‘s website. In addition, in the event that the Company stipulates the handling of user information in the privacy policy, other personal information protection policies, or terms of use for the Company ‘s website, etc., posted on the website operated by the Company (hereinafter referred to as the ” the Company’s website”), such stipulations shall also apply, and in the event that such stipulations conflict with this Policy, this Policy shall take precedence.

Article 2 (Information to be Acquired by the Company and Method of Acquisition)

The Company may acquire user information including personal information (“personal information” as defined in Article 2, Paragraph 1 of the Act on the Protection of Personal Information; the same shall apply hereinafter) in the course of using the Company’s website, transactions, or applications for such transactions, as set forth below.

      To the extent necessary to respond to a transaction or application, the Company will acquire the User’s name, place of work, title, date of birth, address, credit card number, telephone number, e-mail address, and any other information that the User voluntarily enters or provides in the transaction or application.
    2. Information collected by the Company when using the Company’s website

When the Company creates anonymously processed information, the Company shall publicly announce the items of information about individuals included in such anonymously processed information by posting on the website operated by the Company or by other appropriate methods.

Article 4 (Providing Information to Third Parties)

  1. As a general rule, the Company will not provide personal information to third parties without the consent of the User. However, in the following cases, personal information may be provided to a third party without the User’s consent within the scope of not violating the relevant laws and regulations.
    1. When the information is provided with the consent of the User

    3. When it is necessary to protect the life, body, or property of an individual and it is difficult to obtain the consent of the individual
    4. When it is particularly necessary to improve public health or promote the sound growth of children, and it is difficult to obtain the consent of the individual

When it is necessary to cooperate with a national agency, a local government, or a person or organization entrusted by either of the foregoing in executing affairs prescribed by laws and regulations, and obtaining the consent of the individual concerned is likely to impede the execution of such affairs.
    6. When the business including the personal information of the User is succeeded due to a merger, corporate separation, business transfer, or other reasons.
  2. In the event that the Company provides personal information to a third party based on the consent of the User, the Company will prepare and keep a record of the following matters

    2. The name or title of the third party and other matters sufficient to identify the third party
    3. The name of the person identified by the personal information and other information sufficient to identify that person

  3. Notwithstanding the provisions of Paragraph 1, when we have notified the Personal Information Protection Committee. the Company may provide personal information included in the items of user information to a third party for the purpose of providing it to the third party, by sending it by e-mail or other means. However, if a user does not wish to have his/her personal information provided to a third party, the provision of the information to the third party will be stopped upon request to the Company in accordance with the provisions of this policy.

Article 5 (Entrustment of the Handling of Personal Information)

The Company may entrust the handling of all or part of the personal information obtained from users to a third party within the scope necessary to achieve the purpose of use. In such a case, the Company will enter into a confidentiality agreement with the third party in advance, which is equivalent to this policy, and will supervise the third party as necessary and appropriate to ensure appropriate security management of the information.

Article 6 (Joint Use)

The Company may share personal information obtained from users with partner companies and other third parties to the extent necessary for the provision of partner services. In this case, the Company shall publicly announce in advance the items of information to be used jointly, the scope of the parties to be used jointly, the purpose of use of the parties to be used, and the name or names of the parties responsible for the management of said information.

Article 7 (Information Collection Module)
